Global produce experts www.jpexports.co.nz

www.jpexports.co.nz was established to facilitate a clear focus for New Zealand produce exports within the organisation. Exports have been an important foundation for much of New Zealand's horticulture industry, as well as one of the cornerstones of the history of our family business.

Throughout the 20th century Sir Harvey Turner, followed by his son Jack, continued to develop New Zealand's produce exporting potential. They pioneered many of New Zealand's current major export lines and markets and strongly influenced many more. Products such as apples, strawberries, stonefruit, avocados, onions, squash, kiwifruit and flowers were all developed through their efforts. It was in fact Jack along with his brother Grahame who coined the name ‘Kiwifruit' in 1959 to enhance the marketing potential of a fruit that, until then, had been known as the Chinese Gooseberry. Jeffery & Peter have themselves had many years in exporting produce, being involved since the 1970's in the development of new markets and products. www.jpexports.co.nz is named in honour of Jeffery & Peter's father - John "Jack" Penman Turner, affectionately known as "JP".

With offices in Northland, Auckland, Bay of Plenty, Hawkes Bay and Christchurch, www.jpexports.co.nz works with some of the finest growers to ensure we supply the freshest and highest quality export produce from New Zealand.
